About
The Mission Statement
- To inform the reader about local, national, and international issues and news through in depth analysis in editorial styled articles. This will be achieved through constructive criticism carried out on specific reports of news that appear in the corporate and independent press as well as editorial pieces examining original news stories.
- To inform the reader through analysis from multiple and clearly identified political points of view. The articles will be subjected to editorial review to ensure that there is consistency within the article with regards to the singular political point of view.
- To inform the reader on what the differing points of view are, where they are coming from, and where these ideologies lead.
- To allow for informed and rational discussion of issues through constructive dialogue. Responses to specific articles from opposing economic/social ideologies will be encouraged. All articles will have to follow a specific ideology and will be limited in the use of rhetorical statements that are not accompanied by either an explanation or examples.
- To systematically avoid and challenge the Propaganda Model of corporate journalism. This will be achieved through analysis that challenge the reader to think critically on all subjects. It is not the intended goal of the site to challenge the Propaganda Model in every article. Instead, the site as a whole should give the reader access to multiple viewpoints on each topic and to inform the reader where those views are coming from.
All articles are to be maintained under a GNU-like or Creative Commons license depending on the author's decision.
